Cow Town Beef Tallow Soap

Cow Town beef tallow soap is our original beef tallow.  This tallow is unlike most commercially available tallow.  Our tallow is sourced from Ranch Foods Direct which raises cattle in a restorative farm & ranch operation from the high plains of Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado!  Because we care how animals are raised, fed, and the people and businesses that process them, we make sure to choose responsibly.  The same grass-fed beef tallow can also be found in our line of Ranch Balms, which are phenomenal skins moisturizers!

So what is so great about beef tallow?  Everything.  Tallow shares many of the same lipids (fats) as your skin’s own sebum so it moisturizes deeply without being greasy at all.  It also will not clog skin pores.  Beef tallow, rendered from grass-fed cattle, is loaded with vitamins A, D & K and antioxidants. One of which is vitamin E, known to promote rejuvenation of the skin by fighting free radicals that can cause wrinkles.
Best of all:  Sustainability.  No animal ever dies to make soap. Ever, that would be beyond ridiculous.  Tallow is a by-product.  Something that is left over from the primary purpose of the animal, yet has a value somewhere else.  Many small processors, especially ours, is utilizing the entire animal!  From meat, to fats for soap, to natural soil amendments like bone char, to clothing.  Nothing gets wasted.  You know what can’t say that?  Palm…not even close.  Don’t get me started on palm oil.

Cow Town Beef Tallow Soap is for real cowboys & cowgirls… actually anyone!

Cow Town is a salute to all the cowboys and cowgirls that made the American West.  Named after the infamous Cow Towns of the west that sprang up during the cattle drives of the late 1800’s… Nebraska has a few, Cow Town’s appearance is that of Texas Longhorn cattle, and is made with local beef tallow.  This beef is raised right over the same pastures that the late cattle drives took from Texas to Nebraska.
Their last dangerous crossing was the Republican River about 25 miles to the west of the Wild Ass Soap Co. world headquarters of McCook, Nebraska.  Cow Town has a mostly masculine fragrance of cedar wood and leather.  It has a remarkable smooth lather that moisturizes and repairs skin.  Cow Town is proof that you truly enjoy the fine things after a long day of super-punching!

Why does my current soap suck?

Does you current soap make you itch?  If you’re buying commercial soap from the store like everyone else you’re not using soap.  You’re rubbing chemical detergents all over your body.  Since the late 1800’s soap has been losing out to corporate interests and YOU have been losing to them as well.  It started in the late 1800’s when the soap companies figured out they could extract the natural glycerin (the stuff that REALLY moisturizes your skin) and sell it for more money than the soap itself was worth.  Then in the 1940’s German scientists invented chemical detergents.  Detergents were much better at lifting dirt, grime, and greasy stains.  “Soap” manufacturers started making a product they called soap, but it actually lacked the very thing for which it was named.
Store “soap” is nothing more than a chemical bar made up of over 30 chemicals no one can pronounce and some of the ingredients actually aren’t that good for you.  One chemical is actually meant to make the bar hard so it won’t melt in the shower.  That chemical actually makes your skin dry and itchy.
Ingredients: Beef tallow, Olive oil, Coconut oil, Water, Lye, Hemp seed oil, Shea butter, Fragrance, Sugar, Moroccan clay, rhassoul clay, activated charcoal.
